🗣 The play will be performed in German only❣️

When, if not now? With this question in mind, Riadh Ben Ammar recounts his encounters with the left-wing scene in Germany.

He holds up a mirror to it with the necessary seriousness and a healthy dose of humour.

The play tells of misunderstandings and shared political struggles over the past 20 years.

It sets out important demands and visions in the face of an everyday life increasingly shaped by the threat from the far right.

‘Bei den Linken’ is part of the ‘Theatre for Freedom of Movement’ project, as part of which Riadh has been touring Europe with various plays since 2012.

He divides his time between Tunisia and Germany and is a co-founder of the transnational network Afrique-Europe-Interact.

He criticises the EU’s external border and campaigns for the right to freedom of movement.
