Krieg, Repression, Tausende ermordete Menschen und Gefangene prägen das Leben von Menschen im Iran.
Während imperialistische Mächte ihre Interessen in Westasien mit Bomben und Gewalt durchsetzen, geht die brutale Repression gegen Menschen weiter, die für Befreiung, soziale Gerechtigkeit und ein würdevolles Leben kämpfen.
Volle Solidarität mit den Menschen und unseren Genoss*innen im Iran! 💚🤍❤️
Was im Iran passiert, ist kein weit entferntes geopolitisches Ereignis.
Die Kriege und Machtkämpfe in Westasien wirken bis in unsere Kieze hinein. Sie prägen auch unsere Lebensrealitäten hier: durch Militarisierung, Repression, rassistische Hetze, soziale Kürzungen und die Interessen eines kapitalistischen Systems, das Menschen weltweit gegeneinander ausspielt.
Doch was hat der Krieg im Iran mit uns hier in Deutschland zu tun? Und was bedeutet internationale Solidarität, wenn wir unsere Kämpfe nicht getrennt voneinander denken?
Im 1. Teil unserer Internationalismus Veranstaltungsreihe wollen wir diesen Fragen nachgehen und gemeinsam einen Blick auf die jüngere Geschichte des Iran werfen.
Dabei betrachten wir die jahrzehntelangen Einflussnahmen imperialistischer Mächte wie der USA und Israels, aber auch die politischen und ideologischen Interessen des iranischen Regimes und seine Rolle in der Region.
Wir geben euch einen kurzen geschichtlichen Abriss von der Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts über die Islamische Revolution bis zur heutigen politischen Situation.
Dabei wollen wir insbesondere auf linke Bewegungen im Iran und in der iranischen Diaspora schauen:
• Welche Kämpfe wurden geführt?
• Welche Erfahrungen wurden gemacht?
• Warum wurden revolutionäre Bewegungen zerschlagen?
• Und was können wir daraus für heutige Befreiungskämpfe lernen?
Denn Internationalismus bedeutet für uns mehr als Solidaritätsbekundungen.
Unsere Kämpfe sind ein gemeinsamer Kampf, ein gemeinsamer Widerstand! ❤️🔥

War, repression, thousands of people murdered and imprisoned – these are the realities of life for people in Iran.
Whilst imperialist powers impose their interests in West Asia through bombs and violence, brutal repression continues against those fighting for liberation, social justice and a life of dignity.

What is happening in Iran is not a distant geopolitical event.
The wars and power struggles in West Asia have repercussions right into our neighbourhoods. They also shape the realities of our lives here: through militarisation, repression, racist agitation, social cuts and the interests of a capitalist system that pits people against one another worldwide.
But what does the war in Iran have to do with us here in Germany? And what does international solidarity mean if we do not consider our struggles as separate from one another?
In the first part of our ‘Internationalism’ event series, we want to explore these questions and take a look together at Iran’s recent history.
In doing so, we will examine the decades-long influence of imperialist powers such as the US and Israel, as well as the political and ideological interests of the Iranian regime and its role in the region.
We’ll give you a brief historical overview, from the mid-20th century through the Islamic Revolution to the current political situation.
In doing so, we’ll focus in particular on left-wing movements in Iran and within the Iranian diaspora:
• What struggles have taken place?
• What lessons have been learnt?
• Why were revolutionary movements crushed?
• And what can we learn from this for today’s struggles for liberation?
For us, internationalism means more than just expressions of solidarity.
Our struggles are a shared struggle, a shared resistance!
