It is January 2025 – thousands of people are marching through Berlin to commemorate Rosa Luxemburg, Karl Liebknecht and W. I. Lenin.
Large red blocs and solidarity with Palestine also characterise the demonstration and the commemoration.
In Berlin, this is reason enough for the authorities to attack the demonstration.
At the end of the route, outside Lichtenberg S-Bahn station, the police launch massive attacks on participants.
On the way back, those affected stay close together and show solidarity with one another.
But the police are not satisfied and attempt to force their way into a packed train carriage.
In connection with these events, two comrades, amongst others, are now being charged with ‘assault’ on police officers.
Almost two years later, on 12 and 13 October, they are therefore standing trial.
In our view, the trial against our comrades is part of a pattern of dealing with protest and left-wing activists that is intended to intimidate and deter.
We want to publicly support the trial, show our solidarity with the defendants and stand together in court too!
Come along to the rally and to support the trial:
Mon 12 October:
Rally at 12.15 pm, followed by support for the trial from 12.45 pm (trial begins at 1.00 pm)
Tue 13 October:
Support for the trial from 10.45 am (trial begins at 11.00 am)
