💡 Critical Orientation Weeks💡
🧑🏫 Book launch: The Digital Raid by Satyajeet Malik (DE)
As some of you may already know, Decolonise HU takes part in the Critical Orientation Weeks at the University this semester (3-21 Oct).
We will start on Friday with Satyajeet Malik’s book presentation on the topic of Digital Colonialism & Corporate Exploitation in the Global South.
Meta and other tech giants are building digital systems in India, Kenya, and beyond that threaten to monopolise food supply chains and trap millions in microfinance debt.
This creates new colonial dependencies, without physical occupation.
Author Satyajeet Malik will present his key arguments and findings, followed by public discussion and Q&A.
Duration: approximately 90 minutes – German only
