6 Jahre Ari in Berlin-Moabit
→ Anlässlich des Jubiläums „6 Jahre Ari in Berlin -Moabit“ wird die Musikerin Hyunsong Lee ihr selbstkomponiertes Konzert „Was bleibt?“- „Ein Marimba Solo-Projekt über Krieg und Erinnerung“ vorspielen.
Sie möchte auf die Wichtigkeit des Erinnerns der Vergangenheit aufmerksam machen.
Nach der musikalischen Performance wird Prof. Dr. Margo Okazawa-Rey einen Vortrag auf Englisch halten.
Mit dem Titel „Military Sexual Slavery and Violence: Same Old Patriarchal Game Plan” (Deutsch: Sexuelle Versklavung und Gewalt im Militär:
Immer wieder derselbe patriarchalische Spielplan), wird sie über die Ausbeutung von Frauen und sexualisierte Gewalt gegen Frauen durch vor Ort stationiertes US-Militär aufklären.
Sie wird sowohl den Zusammenhang und die Kontinuität des „Trostfrauensystems“ bis in die Gegenwart aufzeigen.
Für die Übersetzung ins Deutsche wird gesorgt.

6 Years of Ari in Berlin-Moabit
→ To mark the ‘6 Years of Ari in Berlin-Moabit’ anniversary, musician Hyunsong Lee will perform her self-composed concert ‘What Remains?’ – ‘A marimba solo project about war and memory’.
She aims to draw attention to the importance of remembering the past.
Following the musical performance, Prof. Dr Margo Okazawa-Rey will give a lecture in English.
Entitled ‘Military Sexual Slavery and Violence: Same Old Patriarchal Game Plan’ (German: Sexual enslavement and violence in the military:
Always the Same Patriarchal Game Plan), she will shed light on the exploitation of women and sexualised violence against women by US military personnel stationed in the region.
She will also highlight the connection and continuity of the ‘comfort women’ system right up to the present day.
Translation into German will be provided.
