Majals zweiter Filmabend, gefolgt von einer Diskussion mit dem Regisseur Walid Abdelnour.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In den letzten Jahren haben Gemeinden im gesamten Libanon Ausgangssperren verh\u00e4ngt, die die Bewegungsfreiheit m\u00e4nnlicher syrischer Arbeitskr\u00e4fte einschr\u00e4nkten, denen es verboten war, sich nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit auf den Stra\u00dfen aufzuhalten.<\/p>\n

Der im Libanon gedrehte Film \u201eLebanon by Night\u201c beleuchtet anhand verschiedener Schaupl\u00e4tze und Charaktere \u2013 von Anwohnern und Arbeitsmigranten bis hin zu lokalen Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten und konfessionellen B\u00fcrgerwehren, die nach eigenem Ermessen Ausgangssperren verh\u00e4ngen \u2013 die unterschiedlichen Facetten der Erfahrungen von Libanesen und Syrern im Zusammenhang mit der Ausgangssperre.<\/p>\n

Der Film bietet einen Einblick in das Leben von Libanesen und Syrern, die in einer Zeit eskalierender Gewalt gegen Fl\u00fcchtlinge Seite an Seite leben, und untersucht die historischen, sozialen und kulturellen Gr\u00fcnde, die dazu f\u00fchren, dass diese Gewalt anh\u00e4lt und sich ausbreitet.<\/p>\n

Walid Abdelnour ist ein libanesischer Filmemacher. In seinen Werken untersucht er, wie sich die Libanesen selbst sehen und wie sie zu Erinnerung, Klasse, Rassismus und Identit\u00e4t stehen.<\/p>\n

Au\u00dferdem dreht er Videos und arbeitet h\u00e4ufig an Projekten im Bereich Tanz und darstellende Kunst mit.<\/p>\n

majal\u2019s second movie night followed by the discussion with the director Walid Abdelnour.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In recent years, municipalities across Lebanon imposed curfews restricting the freedom of movement of male Syrian workers who were banned from walking the streets after dark.<\/p>\n

Filmed in Lebanon, Lebanon by Night uncovers the different layers of Lebanese and Syrian experience in relation to the curfew through a range of locations and characters\u2014from local residents and migrant workers to local community figures and sectarian vigilante groups imposing curfews as they see fit.<\/p>\n

The film presents a snapshot of life for Lebanese and Syrians living side by side at a time of escalating anti-refugee violence, investigating the reasons, historical, social and cultural that allow that violence to continue and spread.<\/p>\n

Walid Abdelnour is a Lebanese filmmaker. His work explores how the Lebanese people view themselves and their relationships with memory, class, racism and identity.<\/p>\n

He also creates videos and frequently collaborates on dance and performing arts projects.<\/p>\n
