Krieg und Kolonialismus haben Asien nie verlassen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jetzt, da die Militarisierung Deutschlands immer deutlicher wird, m\u00fcssen wir dar\u00fcber sprechen, wie das deutsche Aufr\u00fcsten mit Menschenrechtsverletzungen in ganz Asien zusammenh\u00e4ngt.<\/p>\n

Inmitten des endlosen \u201eKriegs gegen den Terror\u201c und des sich versch\u00e4rfenden zweiten Kalten Krieges mit China, beschleunigt sich auch die von den USA und Japan angef\u00fchrte Militarisierung in der gesamten Region.<\/p>\n

Aufbauend auf ihrem jahrzehntelangen Widerstand gegen Kolonialismus und Diktaturen wehren sich die Menschen auf den Philippinen und in S\u00fcdkorea entschlossenen gegen die neu entfachte Militarisierung der Gegenwart.<\/p>\n

Auch in Japan gibt es anhaltende K\u00e4mpfe, um eine Wiederholung der Eroberungsgeschichte zu verhindern.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Welche Kr\u00e4fte treiben die Militarisierung Asiens? Welche Rolle spielt Deutschland? Und was kann die deutsche Bewegung von den Anti-Militarisierungs-K\u00e4mpfen in Asien lernen?<\/p>\n

Bei dieser Veranstaltung teilen drei Aktivist*innen Erfahrungen aus ihren jeweiligen L\u00e4ndern, einschlie\u00dflich historischer Hintergr\u00fcnde und aktueller K\u00e4mpfe.<\/p>\n

Alles h\u00e4ngt zusammen \u2013 und so muss auch unser Kampf zusammenh\u00e4ngen! <\/strong><\/p>\n

How Asia is arming itself

War and colonialism have never left Asia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now that Germany\u2019s militarisation is becoming increasingly apparent, we must discuss how German rearmament is linked to human rights violations across Asia.<\/p>\n

Amidst the endless \u2018war on terror\u2019 and the intensifying second Cold War with China, the militarisation of the entire region, led by the US and Japan, is also accelerating.<\/p>\n

Building on decades of resistance to colonialism and dictatorships, people in the Philippines and South Korea are resolutely fighting back against the renewed militarisation of the present day.<\/p>\n

In Japan, too, there are ongoing struggles to prevent a repeat of its history of conquest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What forces are driving the militarisation of Asia? What role is Germany playing? And what can the German movement learn from the anti-militarisation struggles in Asia?<\/p>\n

At this event, three activists will share experiences from their respective countries, including historical background and current struggles.<\/p>\n

Everything is interconnected \u2013 and so must our struggle be!<\/strong><\/p>\n
