Am 2. November 1917 versprach Gro\u00dfbritannien mit der Balfour-Deklaration ein Land, \u00fcber das es nicht rechtm\u00e4\u00dfig verf\u00fcgen durfte \u2013 und ignorierte dabei das Selbstbestimmungsrecht der dort lebenden pal\u00e4stinensischen Bev\u00f6lkerung.<\/p>\n

109 Jahre sp\u00e4ter sind die Folgen dieses kolonialen Unrechts bis heute sp\u00fcrbar:<\/p>\n

Vertreibung, Besatzung, Entrechtung und die Verweigerung pal\u00e4stinensischer Selbstbestimmung.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On November 2, 1917, with the Balfour Declaration, Great Britain promised a land over which it had no legal right to exercise control \u2013 while ignoring the right to self-determination of the Palestinian population living there.<\/p>\n

109 years later, the consequences of this colonial injustice are still felt today:<\/p>\n

displacement, occupation, deprivation of rights, and the denial of Palestinian self-determination.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Balfour Declaration is not just a chapter in history. Its consequences continue to shape the fate of an entire people to this day.<\/p>\n
