🧐🧐🧐 What the pax is PAX SILICA?
“Pax” means “peace” in Latin, and “Silica” refers to the raw material extracted to manufacture the chips that power AI surveillance and automated warfare.
It is the latest US imperialist project:
a forced alliance aimed at militarizing semiconductor supply chains against China and trapping countries in the Global South in permanent dependence.
23 countries have signed on including Israel, Germany, and the EU.
📍Join us on November 6 for an educational discussion at 18.00 at Vierte Welt* (hybrid in person and online)

Together, we will discuss the agreement, what it means on the ground for countries like the Philippines, and how to strengthen our fight against US imperialism and Germany’s complicity!
Why does the United States need other countries to manufacture these chips? What are the allied countries committing to? And what impact will this alliance have on our communities? Who profits when we extract minerals, and who is exploited when that is turned into profit worth billions of dollars?
The Philippine government has joined this alliance, but we can still do something to stop the colonial and extractive project that will displace, militarize, and destroy local communities.
Learn more about this, how the people are fighting back, and what we can do to support the fight!
See you there!
