Queer liberation: Talk with Mx. Yaffa
Mx.
Mx. Yaffa ist Geschäftsführende der Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity (MASGD) sowie Gründerin mehrerer gemeinnütziger Organisationen und Gemeinschaftsprojekte.
Mx.

Queer liberation: Talk with Mx. Yaffa
Mx. Yaffa is an acclaimed disabled, autistic, trans, queer, Muslim and indigenous Palestinian individual who has received multiple awards for their transformative work around displacement, decolonization, equity, and centering the lived experiences of individuals most impacted by injustice.
Mx. Yaffa is the Executive Director of Muslim Alliance for Sexual and Gender Diversity (MASGD), as well as the founder of several non-profits and community projects.
They will be talking about and reading excerpts from their works “Living to 99” and “Be Better Broken”.
“Living to 99” is a love letter to those of us at the margins of spirituality.
Spirituality has existed beyond time and space. We are meant to be connected, yet our connection is often demonized, dehumanized, and punished along the way.
In Living to 99, we explore concepts of spirituality-what it means to be connected to one another, to collectivism, community, care, and stewarding the land. Ultimately, we move toward fully claiming our purpose as humans.
“Be Better Broken” is a vital essay collection and guide for everyone resisting fascism.
It recognizes and honors those on the front lines as traumatized people doing work that further traumatizes us as we yearn for transformation.
Their books are a call to claim responsibility for our lives and our roles in building a collectively liberated world.
🦠 Please note that this is a mask required event, please be tested and if you have symptoms, stay home.
The event is open to all trans, inter*, Non-binary people and queer BIPoC.
